Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy will lead the movie adaptation of Enid Blyton’s kids’s basic The Magic Faraway Tree.
The story from the creator, based mostly on her ‘The Faraway Tree’ sequence of novels for kids, follows Polly and Tim and their kids Beth, Joe and Fran – a contemporary household who discover themselves compelled to relocate to the distant English countryside.
Two-time Academy Award-nominee Andrew Garfield (tick, tick… BOOM!, Hacksaw Ridge) will play Tim and two-time Emmy Award-winner Claire Foy (All of Us Strangers, The Crown) will tackle the position of Polly.
Produced by Neal Avenue Productions, Elysian Movie Group, and Ashland Hill Media Finance, principal pictures will start in June 2024, with further casting at present underway.
