As “Younger Sheldon” followers know, Mary wasn’t at all times a spiritual lady. Her mother Connie (Annie Potts) definitely is not, so her devotion to the Lord didn’t come from her upbringing. From that second on, Mary honors her pledge. All through “Younger Sheldon,” the Coopers commonly attend church and Mary finally will get a job there “doing the Lord’s work.” Though she briefly leaves the church after Georgie and Mandy (Emily Osment) have a baby out of wedlock, she returns in Season 7. However her religion will get a lot stronger later in life and viewers now know that is due to George’s loss of life. Mary takes consolation in realizing that his soul is secure up in heaven and that he is trying down on her.
