SOPHIE’s label is releasing new music from the late artist. SOPHIE’s posthumous album referred to as SOPHIE is about to function Kim Petras on one of many tracks.
Sophie Xeon was a trailblazing trans musician and producer who tragically died on the age of 34 after she climbed to observe the complete moon and slipped in 2021.
Now, SOPHIE’s document label Transgressive and administration firm Future Basic have introduced that new music is on the way in which within the type of her first and final posthumous album. The late artist and Benny Lengthy each produced the brand new album.
As per a press launch, the artist was nearly completed together with her upcoming album earlier than her premature loss of life. Her posthumous work has been dubbed “the ultimate SOPHIE album launch”.
The brand new album will see the collaborative observe “Cause Why” by SOPHIE, BC Kingdom and Petras, which was launched on 24 June.
Petras introduced the brand new single on its launch date, taking to Instagram with album artwork from the upcoming album which learn: “SOPHIE”.

SOPHIE’s final album was the Grammy Award-nominated 2018 work, Oil of Each Pearl’s Un-Insides. However since her loss of life, little or no new music has been launched.
Unsound Competition launched a compilation entitled Intermission within the 12 months of her tragic loss of life, which featured the collaboration between Jlin and the late artist, referred to as “JSLOIPNHIE”.
Previous to her loss of life, SOPHIE labored with and wrote music for artists together with Charli XCX, Madonna, Petras, Girl Gaga, and extra.
