Ex-Anthrax Singer John Bush Fronts New Supergroup Class 7

Veteran steel vocalist John Bush is fronting a brand new supergroup dubbed Class 7, and the band has already inked a take care of Steel Blade Data.

The outfit options Bush (Armored Saint, ex-Anthrax) alongside guitarists Phil Demmel (Kerry King, ex-Machine Head) and Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob, Sonic Universe), bassist Jack Gibson (Exodus), and drummer Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall, Overkill).

It was Demmel and Orlando who initially conceived the concept for the supergroup, sharing the need to kind a basic twin guitar unit a la Skinny Lizzy. Bittner and Gibson had been the subsequent two on board, and after demoing early materials, the musicians tapped Bush to be the frontman.

“Mike Orlando’s and Phil Demmel’s superior riffs made writing lyrics over the music a bit of cake,” Bush stated by way of a press launch. “The rhythm tandem of Bittner and Gibson rounded out the sound and the connection felt prefer it was put collectively within the stars. Clearly, everybody being a veteran of the steel scene made it that a lot simpler.”

Given Demmel and Bush’s longtime relationship with Steel Blade — their different bands being signed to the label — the long-lasting steel imprint was the apparent residence for Class 7.

“Comfortable to welcome Class 7 into the Steel Blade household,” enthused label founder Brian Slagel. “After all, a few of them are already in! Critically love working with this crew and it’s nice stuff!”

The band’s first single is ready to drop on Might 2nd, and the full-length debut album is slated for a summer season launch. Keep tuned to Heavy Consequence for extra on the brand new supergroup.
