Fan favourite Kristian Alfonso is returning to Peacock’s Days of Our Lives to assist bid farewell to the character performed by Invoice Hayes, who died in January at 98.
Alfonso, whose DOOL character, Hope Brady, was the daughter of Hayes’ Doug Williams, was on set April 22 to shoot the tribute, as reported by TV Insider. Her episode will air Nov. 29.
“My return may be very bittersweet, as a result of it’s the finish of an period with Invoice gone,” she informed the outlet. “So to return to Days may be very unhappy. I’m appreciative that they got here to me to incorporate me of their collection of reveals honoring Doug and I’m very comfortable to see everybody, however I’m getting into the studio with a heavy coronary heart.”
“I keep in mind my first scenes with him,” she continued. “He was very loving, very welcoming. That he was very proficient and an unbelievable actor and an icon, that each one goes with out saying, however my private relationship and my working relationship with Invoice, it was dwelling. Doing the scenes with Invoice, I felt like I used to be with my dad as a result of there was a lot heat and actuality.”
Alfonso left DOOL in 2020 after showing on the cleaning soap since 1983. She briefly reprised the position in 2022 for the Days offshoot Past Salem on Peacock.
“I really feel extremely grateful that I ever had the chance to be part of such an unbelievable present and the legacy that it holds,” she stated to TV Insider. “I’m very blessed. I’ll all the time be very blessed, regardless if I ever return to do extra reveals or end the storyline or not. I’ll all the time be eternally grateful and so appreciative to Days of our Lives and to Ken Corday [executive producer] and the followers that saved me going.”
