Musician Naomi McPherson is becoming a member of the star-packed forged of SNL 1975, Jason Reitman‘s forthcoming movie in regards to the debut night time of the long-running NBC sketch collection Saturday Night time Reside.
McPherson, who makes use of they/them pronouns, will make their appearing debut as singer-songwriter Janis Ian, a musical visitor on the primary episode of SNL that aired Oct. 11, 1975. Reitman and Gil Kenan penned the screenplay for SNL 1975 (which is the working title) based mostly on their interviews with residing forged, writers and crew in regards to the debut of the present that’s now airing its forty ninth season.
