Oscar-Nominated Filmmaker And Activist Was 80


Lourdes Portillo, the Mexican-born, Chicana-identified filmmaker who crafted nuanced movie and video works that heart the feelings and circumstances of numerous Latinx experiences, died on Saturday, April 20 at her dwelling in San Francisco.
