NOFX wrapped up their farewell tour with three gigs at Berth 46 in San Pedro, California, over the weekend, together with their last present ever on Sunday (October sixth). For the final gig, the veteran punk band performed a marathon 33-song set that included notable visitor appearances.
All three reveals featured festival-style lineups, starting with units within the early afternoon. Sunday’s lineup included Fishbone, Subhumans, The Flatliners, Codefendants, Frank Turner, The Vandals, and Pennywise, main as much as NOFX’s headlining set.
Among the many particular friends throughout NOFX’s Sunday set was former Mighty Mighty Bosstones guitarist and present file govt/producer Nate Albert on the music “180 Levels.” A pair songs later, Rancid singer-guitarist Tim Armstrong joined NOFX for a canopy of Rancid’s “Radio.”
Through the encore, NOFX coated Unhealthy Faith’s “We’re Solely Gonna Die” with that band’s Brett Gurewitz and Jay Bentley. And the ultimate music of the night time, “Decline,” featured Foo Fighters’ Chris Shiflett, The Offspring’s Dexter Holland, and dozens of different musicians, together with Pennywise’s Fletcher Dragge smashing a guitar onstage.
The ultimate present got here 41 years after NOFX first fashioned in Los Angeles in 1983. The band nonetheless featured unique members Fats Mike, Eric Melvin, and Erik “Smelly” Sandin, together with longtime guitarist Aaron “El Hefe” Abeyta.
