Nation singer and LGBTQ+ advocate Maren Morris has hit again at bigots who’re berating her for supporting the drag group and permitting her son to take action too.
Morris, who apologised for nation music’s traditionally poor relationship with its queer followers when she was a visitor choose on season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Present on Friday (12 April).
Her look noticed the pair talk about her LGBTQ+ advocacy and taking her son to a drag present.

She stated of her son seeing the performances: “I’ve by no means actually shied away from taking him to my exhibits. He’s on the street with me on a regular basis.”
Regardless of good intentions, Maren Morris has seen bigots hit out at her for inclusive strategy to parenting.
Taking to her Instagram story she posted, as reported by Homosexual Instances: “OK, this ‘save the youngsters’ plea all the time appears to distract from what we’re really speaking about.
“Should you’re making the ‘publicity to kids’ argument, there are a variety of robes in Catholicism, make-up and powdered wigs in theatre traditionally worn by solely males, Mrs. Doubtfire that charmed our childhoods… the listing goes on.
“Drag is centuries-long efficiency artwork and a few drag is just for adults. The efficiency I referenced on this interview was a charity all-ages present to protest the illegal drag ban in Tennessee that was rightfully overturned.”
Her comeback appears to have silenced the haters, for now.
In 2023, the “Texas” singer introduced her intention to depart nation music, citing the “Trump years” that heightened homophobia and transphobia throughout the trade.
