Patrick Brammall, co-creator and star of breakout Australian comedy Colin from Accounts, is swapping laughs for a white-knuckle thriller.
Brammall is starring in a sequence adaptation of Ryan David Jahn’s e book The Dispatcher for Apple TV+. The six-part sequence comes from Kris Mrksa (The Murders At White Home Farm).
Brammall will play police detective Ian Hunt, whose life fell aside ten years in the past when his younger daughter Maggie disappeared with no hint. Now working as a police dispatcher, the one factor that has stored him going is his implacable refusal to just accept that she is likely to be gone endlessly. When he receives a misery name from a younger woman he’s sure is Maggie, he’ll cease at nothing to search out her and reunite his damaged household, no matter the associated fee.
The sequence is govt produced by Jamie Laurenson and Hakan Kousetta at 60Forty Movies, with govt producers Kris Mrksa and Joanna Werner at Werner Movie Productions.
The e book, which was printed in 2011, is about in East Texas and includes a bullet-strewn cross-country chase from Texas to California alongside Interstate 10- a wild journey in a 1965 Mustang that passes by means of the outlaw territory of No Nation for Outdated Males.
Along with Colin From Accounts, which airs on Paramount+ within the U.S. and has been renewed for a 3rd season, Brammall stars in Paramount+’s Evil. He additionally starred in Australian sequence No Exercise, which was later tailored for CBS and starred in The Moodys.
